Chasing a diff centre in good condition for a rear jimny g13bb manual

What you are looking for is a 4.09 ratio. Commonly (incorrectly) referred to as 4.1.

Crown 45 teeth. Pinion 11 teeth.

The same diff was also in the M13a (non VVT) models and also the auto m13aa (VVT) models.

This may help you identify when you go to a wrecker, or search Gumtree, eBay etc.

Thats the sort f info i need. I havent yet opened her up but the whine and backlash i get is pretty bad.

If you would like a few percent reduction, you could always replace both front and rear diffs with the 4.3 ratio, which are found only in the Manual VVT model. 4.3 R&P suitable for the rear can also be found in one series of Vitara front. Removed when doing a alloy to steel housing conversion. Cannot remember which model.

edit: if you have lockers however, one of them is different. Not sure which.

The locker doesnt replace any of the r&p right? Thought about getting one in. But im pretty sure my gears will be ugly. All info in regards to what i can do is also greatly appreciated, thanks bugsta. Lots of misleading stuff kicking around sadly

Correct, but there are 3 lockers listed for the Jimny. 1 is the same between models. The other different. Not sure what it is.

What do you mean gears will be ugly?
