yep nissan is awesome!

Any manufacturer that drops its most popular and reliable motor (4.2TD) and replaces it with a even more popular, reliable and more powerful motor (not fucking likely!!! 3.0TD) has my vote!! Armsup

Sorry Sin_16, couldn't resist :D

Nissan makes the proven best motor ever the SR20! drop one of those in a zuk and see how fast it'll be. My partner steve did a few yrs ago n the zuk would wheel stand!

Yea this Toyota dealership does Suzuki too but even with me racing one didn't help me get the job

I think stating that the SR20 is the "best proven motor ever" is probably not really true... Certainly a point for debate though ;)

For various different reasons, these are some of what I think are the best motors...

Mazda 26B (ok, you couldn't put one in a road car, but fuck...)

Ford Kent engine (origingally designed in 1959 and still putting 110bhp to the wheels of Formula Ford cars to this day)

2JZ-GTE and RB26DETT (if we are talking late model jap engines, then these are pretty hard to go past...)

Porsche flat 6 (any of them)

And as Fatzook said, VR38DETT, shits all over just about any other motor coming from Japan at the present time...

Now, let the debate begin :)

You jest.

Actually they are a nice motor. I drove a Hemi powered challenger in the states. For a yank shit box, it was a really nice car! I'd even buy one here if I could afford to run it

I don't jest.

There is a very good reason why most top fuel engines are still based on the hemi. 8)

Not true anymore as the formula fords went to the 1.6 EFI motors from the festiva. The old Kent motors were becomming hard to find. the move to the festiva motor has the added benifit of fixed tuning ofthe EFI setups....evened out the racing alot so now it comes down to driver ability.

Personally i liked the OHC 2lt motor from the escort better. slap some sidedrafts on it and a manual box and what a fun car to drive.....
This was mine
