whilst the suzuki shop may not look as flash as suzistore, pete the guy who runs it can beat suzistores price by 30-40% normally, they have raced heaps of suzuki's in india for 3 months at a time. They just finished a mates 1.6 16v conversion for $4500 with hd clutch compared with $7500+ suzistore quoted. Suzistore have all the parts on the shelf and can normally have your car in and out in the same day no matter what, thats the only reason i use them. |

I have heard stories about people getting engines from the Suzuki shop... Suffice to say that if I ever get an engine conversion done, it won't be done in Beckenham... |

many will say the same about suzistores rebuilt engines that spin bearings after 5,000 kays, im sure there are a few bad cases on both fronts. |

Been to Suzuki Shop twice. Both times were and wasted hour of my life I will never get back. Needless to say I wont make the mistake a third time. Dont go to Suzuki SHop if you ever want to buy a steel front diff housing out of a Grand Vit. Pete (aka I know everything about Suzukis and you dont know what ur talking about) seems to think no Grand Vitara ever came out with a Steel Front diff. And he should know cos hes been pulling apart Zooks for 25 years..... blah blah blah blah crap crap crap..... you get the idea. He even said hes had many people ask about them and doesnt understand where people are getting misinformed as they dont exist. Yeah.....whatever. |

No body wants a cash job then ?? A local mechanic workshop (not used but recommended) has quoted me $700. I'm not necessarly looking to save money, I have just seen a few people advertising their services, so I figure worth asking |

must be the season for doing clutches, mine died a terrible death on the way home today, anything over 1/4 throttle and it would rev up to 5 grand instantly. Ordered a h/d clutch, rear main and imput g/box seal from pete at the suzuki shop $280 all up inc gst, cant argue with that. Standard clutches are $180, hd is $240 |

The DIY option won't fly. I have neither the room, time, tools or skills for this. I am pretty handy when it comes to emptying cartons of piss though |
