I'm due to head out camping in Northern NSW for a few days in the next month or so, but the zook's not ready for the trip (and I don't feel like doing a long trip in the brain-rattler).

Anyone know of any 4WD hire places in Brisbane that won't charge big $$$$ for 3-4 days hire? I don't need anything extreme - I'll just be driving there and back (about 4 hours each way) and around the place while I am there (flat paddocks, no mud, no water crossings, no sand, no hills).

I can't justify spending $150+ a day on 4WD hire from the major companies, so I was hoping someone on AZ would know of something cheaper. Or does anyone have a highway 4WD they'd like to hire out to me? It would be an easy couple of hundred bucks for someone and I'd take good care of her!

Cheers for the link, $99/day if you hire for at least 3 days isn't as much as most places, so cheers. These guys are my best option so far.

Well that $99/day deal Sargents have going isn't on anymore it seems. Got quoted $175/day for 4 days.. So I might keep looking at this stage. The camping trip isn't really worth $600+ just to get there and back.
