lol i think ill just remove the rear door lock as it would be less hassle to do that then remove the bloody door and walk through the shops with a door. would mr mint or the key cutting places in the shopping center be able to do it? and we were quoted $70 for a guy to come out to the car and do it does that seem ok?

$70 sounds like a call out fee... find out exactly what you're getting for the cost before you agree to it. Make sure it includes them creating the correct key for the car, and giving it to you.

If you tell him your VIN, he should be able to make you a new set of keys.

If a guy will come and do it for $70, why bother even thinking about other options? Cheap.

because ive never had this happen before so i dunno prices if i can remove a lock from rear door that takes 2 mins drive 2 mins up the road to the shops and get it done for 30 40 ill do that. remembering i am a uni student who just forked out his uni scholarship which is meant to cover rent and books for the semester, well couple of weeks any way on my car so i can get to and from work on weekends. and since i work saturday and sundays i dont even get to wheel the bloody car im spending all my money on lol.

It probably went like this:

"What's your VIN?"

"XXXYYYZZZ1234"

"Let me check my book...yep, it's an EH, so a 5 cent coin will do it."
