Sorry bloke but there is nothin at all sexy about Gal checkerplate

Or checkerplate in general.
Gal checker will rust where it has been cut or drilled. Zinc plated would look nicer, but there is no way that will get dipped before xmas now. My last order went in yesterday and I was told I would be lucky to see it again in 2010
Besides, its going to be near impossible to get the rubber grommet on the wiper spline to seal against the undulating surface of the checker plate.
I'll get a pic of the plate I made yesterday. I used 2mm brushed stainless. Looks great! and won't rust.
I could probably do a 3/4 length one if you want, but its really just a waste of material and time IMO. But you're the customer
