Did you end up checking for injector pulses? |

Well the other comp didnt work for ya so you have narrowed it down to, ignitor/coil, dizzy pickup or dodgy wiring. So get a noidie onto those injectors see if the comp is sending out any pulses while cranking. If not its very likely the dizzy pickup/wiring has issues and not the ignitor. |

It's not something stupid like the tacho wire earthing?? |

COuld be something like that. Also check the wires and connections out of the dissy as on these engines this is the only source of rpm and cam position to the ecu. Without it, no pulses to nuffin! |

Tacho what? i got a limiter for that. But its not earthing anywhere. The two wires from the dizzy, from the plug near the dizzy to ecu has a circuit. The wires from that plug to dizzy seem fine. The ecu earth is good. The earth that runs to condenser/noise filter is good. I have 12v+ at the BW to the coil 12v+ to the BW to the igniter ive missed something i think |

are you getting pulse out of the dizzy?? |

You mean the two wires to the dizzy.. Does the ecu send a signal to the dizzy, that then comes back to the ecu? |

Does the ecu send a signal to the dizzy, that then comes back to the ecu? The dissy is the signal generator (magnetic reluctor). This is sent to the ECU. |

Okay.. how would you test it? I hooked one wire of the wires straight to earth, then the other to my test light, and the other end to positive. whice i figured would give me signal when i spun the dizzy but it didnt.. |

Do you have a multimeter? You will need to check the resistance between the two wires out of the dizzy. Besides that the only other way is to again connect up the multimeter to the 2 dissy wires, crank teh engine and check for a fluctuating voltage. Should only be a couple of volts. |

I tried it with the multimetetr earlier and there was nothing showing, voltage or resistance. |

Had a play with it today, and the dizzy is fine. The wire had a break in it.. So I fixed it and nothing changed. Im guessing the break happend sometime when ive been moving wires around to find the problem. |

Ok so if your trace the wires back to the computer and measure the resistance there (comp unpluged) do you get the same reading as measuring straight from the dizzy? |
