Hi - I just found out that a Swift starter motor doe's not fit when you mate the G13a motor to a 5 speed box so need to find one that does.

OK - Have now got the starter, Radiator and surround on the way but still need the Gear-stick for the 1.3lt 5 speed box and a fan.

Cheers - Tony - out west (a long way)

Now I have found that the Radiator connection on the manifold is on the wrong side (Back instead of front) so now need an intake manifold - Tony

I have a fan, I believe is 1.3, tho a 1.0 litre fans fit, too.
I don't have mounting bolts or the aluminium boss/spacer thing.
It looks rough, let me know if you want it.
I busy till next week, then can post it if you like.
Swift engines often use a thermo fan,
the water pump pulley sometimes don't fit a Sierra fan.
I used an adaptor on my swift donk, to fit a Sierra fan,
but that got sold yonks ago.

I remember now,
I switched to 1.0 fans because all my 1.3 fans kept breaking.
Not sure if there was a reason.
My 1.3 always ran cool enough with either type.

Tony,
I have a spare inlet manifold, but as we discussed a while back, I have opened it up substantially, where the carby bolts on as stock, the throat openings have a combined flow area of 1231mm2, where mine has around 2000mm2

Now stock fans, but a nice selection of thermos.

I have just got hold of a manifold but has a bolt snapped of in one of the thermostat housing holes and someone has butchered it a bit so I don't know if I will be able to get it out. I will try over the weekend.

Now I have never used thermo fans at all so tell me about them and don't you need some sort of controller set-up with them?

Tony
PS - Mums Opal left today  Hope she likes it

Tony I have a 1.3 manifold you can have for free. A fan you can have with spacer for $15 and $20 post.
NB: Sierra fan won't fit Swift/Barina water pump.
