hey guys chasing a vitara manual gear box has to be in good nick with lowwww k's as possible.. im on the goldcoast and drive to brissy alot.. anyone got one?? mine is winding in box and tranny..

ok sweet ill keep it in mind mate mine has just clocked 260 too haha but could rebuild it as a last resort as mine is a daily so i cant afford if off the road..

Mine was like that done 470+ k's. Changed it when the noise got to loud to hear in the car. Have been told they will not break just get noiser.
It was like it when I bought it, worked out it was the final drive that was the problem and this still did alot of track work without any issues.

Just buy some plugs while you wait for the right box to turn up.

haha yeh it like has i high pitch hum to it at like 90k's its the loudest and the barings are winding in the tranny.. it still goes.. its all good ill just keep the oil changed.. and just wait for a good one.. haha

sorry guys havent checked this thread for ages.. anyone got a decent cond box and tranny for a good price?? im gonna do the beaqrings all before i drop it in.. i need one soon and prefer goldy or as far as sunny coast..

You can have mine for $60. Third and fifth have a grinding noise. Doesn't crunch and everything works great.

Just an option if your desperate :)

well mine still works fine... just noisy and barings are noisy in tranny so ill keep yours in mind cheers mate!

Long way from you but if you want to go 3spd auto I have auto with transfercase ,torque convertor,flex plate and shifter just pulled out of a wreck in good condition but Im in WA 8O

I pulled a good one out about 4 weeks ago, dont know the k's probably about 270k, but its in capalaba, and it didnt have any problems when i took it out.
