are there universal looms readily available off the shelf for these?

could be a cheaper option.

in saying that, $310 for the tow bar + freight...plus loom + freight

may aswell get a genuine

Not sure, someone else might be able to answer that one.
I do know ARB offer a towbar but my local guy wasnt very helpful and couldnt tell me if it would fit my 2008 model.

the Genuine comes with everything thou :)
I'd email you local dealer and just get a quote ( I reckon it would be cheaper than what mine was )

wiring loom is easy if you have a circut tester just test for your operation lights and tap your wiring into them for your plug. thats what we did when we fitted towbars at my last job :D

sweet as got my hayman reece towbar on today still cant believe I got it brand new for $280 with wiring, ball. Thanks old work :D

Didnt get any photos of bar,
Cause I was too worried about the lil rust bubbles ones bigish about the size of a gold ball found in the tiny boot well, And on the join seams on rear of car too. Took the whole bumper off to fit the bar and found it all. Rang suzuki at caloundra where we brought it, And bloody hell they are sending a bloke out to check it next thursday to see what he needs to do to fix :D got to love life time paint and rust protection warrenty.

Just incase. Everyone else check there jimny boot well, There is a section under the car floor panel in the rear above the exhuast that has a heat shield mounted right up against the floor that goes across into the underneath of the lil boot well. It must trap and hold water and shit and only spot not sprayed with paint or that rubber rust proof shit. well on ours anyways.
