Hey guys, I'm looking for a cheap Sierra - 1.6i or with something a little more powerful than the original 1.3. Not looking for a shitter and not wanting to spend too much on it.
Cheers
Dave

So you want a zook that someone else has done all the work on and spent all the money, but you aren't prepared to do any work or spend any money.

Best of luck mate

Just look for a good sierra mate. If it doesn't have a 1.6 don't stress. There is enough knowledge and help here to get you through the conversion.

There is heaps of them around 3500 to 5000
That cheap if you consider the work done to them.
Many will have suspension and prob a locker of some sort also.
Money well spent and your ready to wheel

I was looking at a $3k stock sierra, but I wasn't happy with the engine, sounded almost wrecked at only 170k. i'd like to get a stock and do it all myself, bar the engine! I've driven my friends sierra on 31's and it had no power at all. I'd be using it as a daily drive, that's why i wanted the extra power
Anyone know of decent condition stock sierras?

PM 2stroker. He has 3 that he is trying to offload. Fair prices and condition. Would make a great starting point. I don't believe that any of them require a major amount of work to get RWC. And you may have enough change from your $5K budget to get the G16B happening

i bet it had standard gearing didn't it. why do people think that sticking tyres
4 or 5 inches bigger then standard will have no affect on power.

I know right! how much is it to gear it lower? will that have much of an effect on top speed with 33's on it, or will it more so balance it out to the norm?

6.5's and 33's will be slightly taller than factory. Should be an alright combo.

Any idea on prices for gears or to change the ratios? I'm not sure what 6.5's are or what exactly 6.5 is referring to haha, what is standard on sierras? :S

Just drive a stock sierra, cos if $500 is too much then modding it is going to be too expensive.

We zook drivers are cheap bastards, but seriously...

So vitara 1.6's and swift gti engines are relatively easy to swap in then, any other easy swaps?

As Fatzook says I have a few Sierra's that I am in the process of doing up for sale, call me if you are serious about getting one.

If you want something cheaper that you do work on then call soon because price will obviously go up the more that I do to them.

I can sell you something from a project not running to a sierra registered and modified to your liking or something in between.
