Just got a call from the mechanic who was replacing the entire cooling system on my car plus timing belt with some bad news.

He left a bolt loose and the cam has seized in the head.

So I need a new head and cam ASAP. His expense, but he can't find any at the wreckers.

Otherwise how hard is it to do a 1.6EFI or 2ltr EFI conversion to a 1992 SWB Vitara if we can't find anything??

Ok bump for this.
The mechanic found a head and dropped it off to his machinist only to discover that its completely useless and corroded form the coolant.

So on the hunt again. I really need this ASAP so any pointers as to where one may be available would be very much appreciated.
Am more than happy to shop from interstate.

Just shove a 1.3 head on until you can find a good 1.6 head

I have a good bare 1.6 8v head stored in shed,I am in Sydney at present and will head thru Adelaid soon hopefully next week
