No worries, i;ll give ya a hand if ya want.
Also ive only got up to a 2" former for the pipe bender. So the best pipe to use for the bender i have is, 40nb with 4mm (48 od) heavy wall pipe.

brad just reinforce the stock bumper, or re-create it out of something thicker.
you wont need a decent front bar just yet as you're still going to hit the springs/shackles before anything else anyway.
while you're waiting, save up for one of fatzooks bars. they look mint!

if i have enough spare coin lying around i was gona try and make a couple of bars up. i already got my main bar (the lower bit to replace were th stock one goes) a piece of 75/150/4mm square tubing to put inbetween the chasie rails to replace the current bumper (paid 10 bucks or it and i can have as many as i like)
i will have some mounts that i will either get lazer cut or buy a few boxs of grinder blades and cut out of 4 mm steel. they will mount on the chassis with two bolt (extra fat heavy duty ones) aswell as welded to some pipe that will go through that tube were the outrigers were cut of this will then continue out and down a little to the recovery points witch will be double thickness loops to put shackles on (8mm thick) that same mounting bracket will cap of the end of the main pipe and continue up to have two cross bars (that run parallel to the pain bar) ( this will be used for lights and to protect the radiator) on it that join the left and right mounting brackets together, the lower of the two light bars will be ofset outwards (away from the car) a little and the top one being aligned with the middle of the main bar it runs parallel to, and level with the bottom of the bonnet.
uprights will then be made legal and edged with some 30mm /3mm steel strip bent. moulded to cover the sharp edges of the uprights. ill then make some outer guard type things for the main bar under the headlighst out of 4mm plate that slope in towards the body and upwards. with jacking (highlift) points on each end. there will be no light bar work around the headlights. then sand blasting, and spraypainted either silver or black.
soz if thats confusing ill try draw a diagram tomoz.
the main idea behind the complex mounting brakets it that it will safely alow for the bar to be snatched on as it has no welds between the recovery point and the shasy.

You cant go splashing out on swags when you got a zook to mod, your priorities are mixed up !
If you are after a cheap 2nd hand alloy bar, try Suzukishop on Sevenoaks St Cannington, Ph - 93505289, they have/had a heap of alloy bars hanging up near the counter, that they really dont know what they are off, i scored a good alloy bar for my old SWB Vit for $200, i knew it was for a Vit, but they didnt know what it was for, ha ha... they can be pricey, and a bit dodgy with mechanical bits, but if you are after a 2nd hand bar quickly, they may be your best choice, they may even have a steel bar...
