I know someone with the remains of a LJ80 soft top dash in their paddock, I'l see if it's still got the motor in it, not promising anything but it might still have it. I'l test it if it does.

I have one from Sierra 1.o soft top LWB if they are same/similar?
Was working when I used it last.

That motor of Christover's looks very similar to my LJ81 motor (once that steel plate is removed), except the plug is different. I wonder if it would work if you just cut the old plug off, and soldered an LJ one on it?

I managed to track down a soft top one in WA. All installed and working now ..... going wheeling this w/e

Today I finally got to have a look at that one I mentioned earlier, turned out it was a soft topped hard top.

It's the remains of the one in the worlds rustiest LJ thread.

The hardtop and soft top ones are mirror images of each other. The hardtop looks like the Sierra motor, but the softtop motor has the actual motor itself poking out the opposite side. (bit like a RHD Vs LHD thing)
