Melbourne is near canberra, well, closer then darwin It all about persepective!
My nan used to do Melbourne to Canberra in 5 hours in her ford laser. Used to think the Lord slowed trucks down so she could over take them. A cop pulled her over doing about 180 along the Hume and she said she didn't realise the speed she was going, she was singing along with the Lords Prayer..... he let her off without a ticket!!!
I recon if an 80 year nan can do the road trip smoking tires, take some cement and get on the road and buy my front clip

Heres some pics. Ill be keeping the sealed beam headlight but can throw in a good pair of normal lenses with globes if you want them. If you dont need the head lights take $20 off the price.
If you want any other parts let me know and ill chuck them in, ive got a bit of crap here to get rid of.
