| Post subject: | EOI in purchasing a Sierra |
G'day, this is my first post. Name's Rowan and I live in Melbourne. I'm currently looking for a new car as I'm selling my 1968 rat rod beetle (trades anyone???). I can't decide on a car to buy but thought a Sierra would be a bit of fun. I've never been offroad but am keen to jump right in (nothing too extreme straight up). I don't know too much about Sierras but have only heard good things. So far I know there are SWB/ LWB, 1.3L, soft/hard tops. That's bout it.... I guess I'm after a mildly modded example (lifted, larger tyres etc). But it's gotta be a daily driver still, so still relatively practical. I like to get away camping but also just get around Melbourne etc. So any advise would be appreciated. What's the best model?, are all models able to seat 4? common mechanical issues? rust issues? What's with the fold down windscreen (I kinda like that) etc etc I can probably stretch the budget to $5K, happy to do the mods myself. Cheers in advance, Rowan |

If your handy with the building bits, I have a 85 swb body and chassy that you can have for $150. The body on the one I have has almost zero rust, and just a few dings here and there but in real good nick for its age. I'd keep it, but its sitting on the nature strip and would like to see it go to a home soon Dave |

Cheers tho atari4x4 wrote: buy ducks sierra http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Fo ... ic&t=22210 Yeah mate, saw that one and it's pretty much what I'm after, forgot to mention I won't be able to afford a new car until I sell this... 45tr0 wrote: Pics of the volksrod? ![]() lump_a_charcoal wrote: PICSORBAN!!!
