Post subject:  Jimny Rear 4.3 ring and pinion/Vit front
I think I've stripped some teeth on my rear diff again. It hasn't completely destroyed itself yet but it went from nothing to embarrassing in a matter of minutes so its on its way. I limped it home and parked it.

I'll pull it out tomorrow.

So anyone got either a 4.3 Jimny rear diff or Vit front R&P from a conversion?

I might have a Vit front diff. I'm not sure of the ratio.
I'll ring the guy that has it and let you know.

It is confirmed. Broken tooth on pinion and damaged the crown of course.

I have removed the crown and refit the diff so I can at least drive it FWD.

What years/models Vitara has the 4.3 front diff?

The GV front steel diff I used under my vit had a 4:3 in it.
Unsure of the year.
Sold it to a Jimny owner already sorry.

Still on the lookout.

I can get a steel Vit diff for $550 but reckon I shouldn't have to spend anywhere near that much.

I have a rear center here ATM, not sure of the ratio, it's out of a 2006'ish manual Jimny, been keeping it for mine, it's in a box ready to go $200
