I need a WT Sierra tie rod in useable condition ready to bolt straight on. I do not want any Indian made Maruti shit, proper Suzuki only please. Prefer Ipswich area, as I will have to come pick it up with my car with dodgey steering....

I know you said tie rod but do you mean drag link, that is what people usually bend.

No definitely tie rod. Its bent on the threaded area on the far drivers side. Seems I managed to hit something on the adjuster... pretty bad luck to miss both the tyre and the the spring!

Excuse my ignorance, but couldn't you just replace the tie rod end if that's the bent bit in question??

A photo would explain everything!
The bent part is the threaded piece that is part of the tie rod itself. The part between the large dia part of the tie rod and the adjuster nut.

In theory I could try and machine off the weld, and pull the threaded stub out. Then see if I could sacrifice a NT tie rod for the threaded part, and put it in its place. Not sure if I could pull it off though... (and not sure I want to kill a perfectly good NT tie rod).

You can't bend it back and clean up the thread?

I have a button die to suit that thread if you wanna borrow it.

Possibly. But I'd rather not play lottery with the steering. Got a straight one off of BoostedBrick anyway. I am re-using my old adjuster piece, and I am thinking that has a slight bend in it too, and should be got rid of :?

I should have a NT assy with an adjuster on it in the shed. I'll have a look tonight for you.
