I wrote my dads 1997 coily sierra off just after chrissy (worst day of my life)

We bought it back off the insurance company and i was wondering if anyone has a rolling chasis with a good body so i can shove the 1.3 into it. I have engine, gearbox, transfercase and both difs in perfectly working order all i need is somthing to put it in. the insurance company took the chasis number and it cannot be registered ever again.

If anyone has a wide track sierra with a blown engine or stuffed gearbox and wants to get rid of it let me know. It doesen have to be a coily but if it is it would make life easier. It has to be a regiserable chassis and good body work if possible. im am on a budget because i am on apprenticip wages so if any one can help me out, it would be much appriciated.

Thanks

Nick

Hi, your better off selling your Coily as parts and buying either another Coily or leafy new. Coily diffs won't fit in a Sierra housing, or at all, and the tcases are different. Just keep what you reckon are good and start again. Being on a budget is hard, but I doubt you will save any money the way your going, and welcome to cars.... They cost all of your money

I have a coily chassis here. It is missing the front radius arms and body.
CHEAP.

Hi Nick, mate don't beat youself up too much, things happen and at least you are here to talk about it.

Mate this is what I would do, take Want33 up on his cheap chassis (if he has them get the body plates off him to suit). Then start the slow task of transfering everything over into the new chassis and in the meanwhile start looking for another body. They do come up cheap if you are patient, I just sold a complete early model sierra minus engine for $600.

Can you (legally) fit a leafy body to a coily? I thought the coily bodies had extra impact protection etc, that meant you couldn't?
