Need a working alternator for my Sierra(96). Won't turn on now without clutch starting it or jump started off another car. I'm only assuming it's the alternator but I can't think of what else it may be. The motor runs like a dream once it gets started, and there is juice in the battery but I can only hear the starter sound which should be because the alternator isn't charging properly, right?
Need this before the weekend is up, cause this car is my only mode of transport to and from uni atm. Give me a call or text on 0430 010 580.

another quick note, just tightened the alternator belt, and now it's not making any squealing/slipping sound. Could that have been the issue all along? Any way to test it with a multimeter or something??

when the car is running the volts at the battery should read 14ish volts if the alternator is charging. if all else fails i have a few alternators here. only just outside penrith
