are you looking to get it rego'd?
I can do a frame fork uppers and swinger combo if your interested. but they are from a Z50R. same frame as what the J runs, with the twin shocker rear, but no compliance plate. (wheels and bars not included)
If you have contacts, you may be able to have the frame complied, as it doesnt differ from the complied model.
Iv had my J for almost 20 years..
Last two or so has seen a couple of minor changes..
Hopfully get some better suited bars and xr70 swinger with new forks(currently bent lowers) in the next few weeks.
Hoping to have something similar to this once complete, but a bit more classic..
Long Live the Zeds!

yeh, happened about 2 months or so ago..
dont know the full story, but there is a little bit of info on the Zed series on www.miniriders.com (alot of the monkey guys started on MR, then went to MG, then back to MR when the garage closed the roller door. BUT... insisted on bagging MR, and consequently alot were banned/left)
Info is available, just need to hunt it out.. ALOT of the ct90/110 mechanicals are the same, and the CRF50 utilities alot of the frame/suspension. bar the rear shock setup.
crf fork legs are a common swap due to an extra inch or so on length and xr70 rear swinger adds about an inch to the rear.
pretty sure the 3 wheeled ATC? front end can be swapped into the Zed to. this would allow the wider front wheel to be used.. kinda like the Z50baja..
Worst case scenario, the 40th anniversary zeds are 99.9% identical to the J models. then you can just source a complied frame and swap the bits as needed

These things are awesome & near impossible to find cheap.
I've heard of a bloke selling fixed up ones for up near $15 000.

i had road rego'd Z50J as a kid, was owned by an old chap that used it to tow a golf buggy around the course. it was immaculate, could fold the bars down & it would fit in the boot of most 80's cars. we road that thing everywhere with out ever getting into serious trouble as kids. sold it to a family friend & it got driven into the ground.

seeing as it was bumped..... Recently(early this year) picked up a chineee replica Z50.. good clean QUIET fun! build quality is obviously Chineee but for what it is, and the fun had.. $$ have been well worth it! (50cc 3 speed) will get te 140 treatment should the engine go kaput..
