All leads so far have fallen though so I am still looking for 1 Lj50 Bonnet.

I an getting desperate as these are the last major parts I need to restore my LJ50 and LJ50V back to original.

I have a windscreen frame to swap if anyone needs one and can come up with anything I need or even a contact to get a grill and/or bonnet

Hi Tony

I probably have an LJ50 grill that would be a good candidate for a plastic welding repair (I have a Stockman grill that was plastic welded, and it came up great [don't know who did it though, i got it like that]). Not sure what sort of access you would have to a plastic welder down your way though....?

Can't help with a bonnet.... I would like someone I know to do some fibreglass 50 bonnets.... currently they aren't interested though :(

I am trying to buy a 50 of a fella that also has a crap load of parts, including 10 NIB grills. It will take me anouther month or two to convince him to sell it to me but.

I'll PM you this evening Tony. Will take some photos first, as its not the sort of thing I would sell sight unseen (as it does need that repairing).

I have done one before for a friends 50 in 2 pieces, top piece and then the inside and stuck them together. I'd need a decent condition bonnet to use as a plug.

Skippy, I have a very good clean straight rust free LJ50 bonnet I would be willing to make it vailable to you to take a mould from, in return I would like a fibreglass bonnet from the mould (for cost of material) when my steel bonnet is returned..

Tony I have a couple of very good 50 grilles (and a couple of 80 grilles), I don't particularly want to part with them but pm me with an offer and I may part with a 50 grille purely because I feel your frustration.

Now all I need is a BONNET - I don't mind if it has some rust or minor damage - Tony

Tony, a mate just wrecked his LJ50, I got him to keep a couple of bits including a bonnet. Think it is a bit beat up but probably fixable. I will get my hands on it in a couple of weeks and get some pics, freight might be the killer here tho...
