jonno_racing wrote: realy? no one? Don't be so suprised. You need parts from 2 transfer cases to make a lobster, rendering atleast one of the cases useless. Most people would rather sell a complete case than 1 piece of it. Having said that, I MAY have the 1L gear that you need. I'll have a look at home tonight.

While you may get the gears reasonably cheaply, the Rocklobster conversion involves cutting, fitting and welding the two halves of the counter gear back together, a fairly tight tolerance job that can be easily stuffed up and ends up creating an inherently weak point prone to failure. Why muck around when you can buy a whole set of brand new gears for a 4.16 case (including countergear beaings, countershaft and thrust washers) for under $375 plus about $40 postage? http://www.trailtough.com/index.php?opt ... &Itemid=50

hey guys I have the 1ltr gear set! I only need the 1300 cluster and gear. I know I have thrown out atleast 3 sets over the years (fitting 6.5s). that's the only reason I'm looking at doing this, as I'm using junk parts that are basically useless. I have made a rocklobster before.. worked well for a bush only rig. a mate of mine is a machinest and is doing the work for me! so no stress! if it wouldn't blow my budget I would just grab some 6.5s. I have challenged myself to build a wheelable rig for $1500

I'll double check my shed for a 1.3 set of gears.
