Ok so I'm chasing a starter motor for a g16a. I'll be back in Brisbane in 2 weeks(away for work currently) I'm putting a g16a in my Sierra I've got the adaptor kit to bolt it up to the Sierra box. Is there anything else I need?? Cheers jae |

i just put a g16a into my sierra with some mates... you wont need much more but as you go you might realise that u need to modify a few things or buy some additional parts. the benT adaptor plate kit worked wonders!! i had to push my radiator forward bout 10-20mm coz the fan belt pulleys were too close (though u may not need to do this). you may as well check the condition of your clutch. i changed the clutch bearing and the flywheel bearing while i was at it. we just grinded my 1.3 starter motor down a bit so it went in straight. its probably better to get a 1.6 starter if you can find one. i got heaps of pics too. |
