I now desperately need a distributor for a 1994 G16B EFI motor - There seems to be a number of different ones so I include pictures of the one I need below - Please not that it has 3 pins in the socket and a blank space where the 4th one could go - There are ones with 4 pins that don't work?

This car has been stuck in my drive for weeks now so please if you have one of these you do not need please let me know.

As long as they are good and the right ones I will have to pay what they cost within reason I guess.

Well It is a 1994 build but that does not seem to mean a lot :? as most dealers/spare-parts men/wreckers seem to think they are all the same from 89 to 98 but they are not. That is why I posted pictures.

Yeah, I know the problem. Figured if we knew a specific year we might have a better chance of finding the right one.

Hope one turns up, or if the stars line up and my 2L fantasy happens shandy only wants the block, so the one out of my 93 LWB is yours - if it's the right one!

Hi Darkhorse - They are both type 2 distributors with the 2 lead wire hinging out - I don't know about RARE - I think it is the most common one of all

Mine is the type 3 with 3 pins and the wires plug into the side of the distributor body.

Yea you have a hall effect dizzy. No "coils" to die inside there. That hall effect sensor shouldn't be affecting your spark either as its just a pickup for the ECU. If this was a problem you would be getting no fuel injector pulses and no spark at all.

Hopefully somebody with the right type will chime in with the numbers.

Maybe try auto elec forums, you may be able to easily retro fit the one from your parts Vit?
