FWIW Jake find a decent carbie bloke and get it rebuilt. It will save you the headache later on. I had mine rebuild 3 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. |

You can buy them brand new for around $750. Yes it's expensive but imo better then spendign $400-$700 for a overhaul. |

I don't know long I'll be keeping the car as I'll be starting my apprenticeship hopefully soon and owning two cars is a hassle I'll have to see how good it is offload, hence why if I could grab a cheap carby that might last a while then I can see if it is worth keeping. But thanks for the suggestions and offers I'll possibly have to go down the rebuild path or possibly get a weber from America can get a genuine one for under 300. |

I've got one if you're interested, i'm in Perth. 80 bucks. Was running fine on my engine, i've since put a 1.6 in my sierra. (1.3 had 180,00km on it, from a 1990 WT) A rebuild would probably be the best option but this one will definately be better than the one you have. |
