Why bother changing from welded to spool? I cannot see any gain from doing it.

Welded lasted me years. Minispool died within weeks. Exploded into 7 pieces.

Just order one from Trail Tough.
DO NOT order one from Lowrange Offroad, they're the trail gear ones that break into 7 pieces.
Steve.

Trail gear have theirs marked "aged cheddar" because that's how strong they are.
Trail tough's are marked "trail tough" because they are.
Steve.
PS - to provide some facts, search the photos of them. TG's are much more cheaply made and weren't/arent, as far as I am aware, heat treated.

I have bought one of each. My trail gear had nothing marked on it whereas my trail tough one has Trail tough cast into it and says made in USA and has a much higher quality finish. My trail gear spool is still going strong but I'll feel much more confident with the trail tough spool.
