I need someone in Brisbane that will do 2 small welds for me. When I was re installing my read tintop door the top 2 captive nuts have been sheared off. I have decided to weld the hinge to the body. So door hinge to body metal.

Name your price. I can grind away all the paint for prep. Just need a few small welds!

Welding the hinge to the body will just end up cracking and tearing a BIG hole in your panel.

You are much better off trying to get a plate with two holes tapped in it, into the C pillar.

That was my plan depending on how bad the existing damage is.

If the original metal is fatugued, nutserts will be a poor choice.

This week I'm held up at work each arvo. I've done a temp fix on it with a chunky tec screw! It's doing well lol. When I can see myself being free ill let both you guys know and arrange a time with one of you. This weekend and the next I'm doing some cashies. So that's out of the option. Even if I was to bring it around and show you first and get your opinion then we know what we are up against!
