Hi guys,

new to the forum. I have found some really interesting stuff on here so far. I am rebuilding a clapped out Sierra, and am in need of a reasonable alternater.
The bearing is squealing like mad in mine.

The engine is a 1.6 Vitara G16A.

If someone has one out there, can you let me know details/pricing?

I'll stand accused of being ignorant of these things, but is either one of these the same, as in wiring?

What would they be worth in working condition?..$50 each? I'm sure I saw one here for $50 a while ago.

U can have my old G16a alternator. Was working fine. Just needs to be cracked open and replace the output bolt. I put a bigger unit in.

Carb or efi 1.6 not sure if there is a difference between alt.

Hey Bretski,..theres an offer I couldn't refuse mate.

My only problem may be getting time to get down Brissy way to pick it up. Would there be any chance of you posting it if I send more than enough money to cover it? I can send you some cash in the mail with my return address.

For the record I got an alternator from wreckers out of a Mitsubishi Triton. Slightly larger unit, 60amps v's 50amps but prettily much perfect fit. Just need to change the plug.
