Still on the hunt

Went and had a look at the LJ50 softop advertised on Gumtree on the gold coast.
Body was rooted so at best was a parts car in my mind but I am sure he will find a buyer.

I know they are pretty hard to come by so I will be patient

unless your prepared to pay about $5000 for an LJ, your not going to find one with an "ok" body.
as long as the chassis is not rusted through and all its parts are there you have a good starting point.

in your first post you said that you are after a restoration project, unfortunately body work is the biggest part of any resto.
i have restored several cars and the bodywork has always taken a long time to get right. for example my very early and rust free mini took over 18 months to get the body and paint right, whereas the running gear took less than a month.

good luck, you will have to travel a long way for a good LJ, I got one of mine interstate, and the other 3/4 of the star away. and i'm still looking for more :)
