Im a Kiwi slowly driving around Australia and looking for somewhere to park a LWB Vitara for a couple of months within reach of Brisbane Sydney or Melbourne Airports. An hour or two away is fine as long as there is some transport that can get me back to the airport.
Outside is fine and if you want to give it a run occasionally even better
