Hi, does anyone here have a good starter motor for a G16A manual transmission Vitara? Mine has finally died and I need a replacement.
I searched the for sale ads but the ads were months old.

I got mine off ebay for $140 free postage. It's been going alright so far. Alternatively, one stop suzi quoted me $75 used, $275 new, plus postage.

Thanks Arinvar, this is just for a farm vehicle so I am looking for something cheap secondhand, I should have mentioned that in my original ad.

Not 100% sure but will a Sierra one fit also? Might not have all the go of the other one but as you said it's a farm car, might be a cheaper, more abundant option if it fits?

I'm not sure if a Sierra one will fit DENTED, I am told the G16b does and G13 "might" but not sure, can anyone tell me what will fit?

Well after a little research, it seems that they are compatible from 88-03 in the following vehicles, and this list is for aftermarket starter motors.

i sold a spare last thursday with my complete g16b engine, and then mine fried on saturday, i bought the $102 item off ebay should be delivered by this friday
its says it has a 5 year warranty
wrecker wanted $45 if i remove it...i'd rather buy new
