Wanted lj80 body cuts, mainly front door pillars and roof cut, i need about the front 1mt of the roof and pillars, other parts would be help full front guards, bonnet.
Building a mild comp truck, for my son and my self.
it currently has the 1lt, suggestions for a motor upgrade would be also appreciated, as i havent had a suzuki for the past 20 years, the last one was a LJ50
thanks for any help.

Mate as cool as LJ's are, you'd be a lot better off ditching the LJ plans and going Sierra....

They are A LOT easier to get parts for.

by door pillars do you mean the door itself or the pillar in front of the door?
If its the A-pillar, how much do you need? I might have just enough bits left rust free on my remains of an LJ81 cab to patch up a windscreen frame, but definitely not enough to replace the frame. The hardest parts to get for LJ's are body panels sadly...

whats wrong with the 1Litre? havn't had mine on the road yet, but it hammers around the yard (for a small motor anyway). Any other engine swap should be considered a long term project in an LJ i think :P
If its still got points ignition, do the 1.3 Sierra electric dizzy swap, made my F10 run sweeter :)

I will have the rear half of an lj 80 hard top you could have if the roof paneling would help.

Common sence tells me that you are right Jas, but if you already have an LJ and you are prepared to modify it rather than keep it original and stock it is only body panels that pose a problem everything else is available or can be upgraded with sierra bits. The ute in question already has sierra discs free wheeling hubs, 1 litre conversion.

Infact, the only reason to not do the LJ ute up would be if your 6 foot plus tall, cos you wont be comfotable driving one.
