Honestly I don't know why it wouldn't start but I think it was out of time the first time I did it. . Then I got it in time and the kill switch was messing me up. Due to that I retimed it but put it back on wrong again I think. Then from that and the dizzy being 180 out again I fried the starter. After that I retimed it again cut out all the wires replaced the starter, replaced the battery and it started first crank.

i would like to say something, i have just read a little of the last couple of pages and i am ashamed at what some people have written in this thread, instead of offering help or advice they have have chosen to be nasty and vindictive towards a fellow member for asking for help and admitting that he doesnt know everything. for the first time since i signed up to AZ i feel like im on OL and reading posts from those dick wads over there, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all!!

I know its too tall. I got it that way. I didnt make it that way. I am looking into different options for the set up. I think I am going to put a set of hilux diffs under it. Move the front forward atleast 5cm if not more take the shackles off it and lengthen the front frame. move the rear shocks in to give them more length. But as of yet I have yet to do anything to it as I have not found exactly what I want to do. I dont wantto start doing it then change my mind.

I understand the height it sits at now is how you got it and I'm NOT saying it's your fault.
I owned a SWB and it was only 2" body plus 2" spring and 31's and it fell over 8 times. SOA adds 4" to that plus tyres so yours would tip pretty easily IMO.

If I were you I'd go back to standard springs with RUF and 2" body lift then virtual lift the guards. Keep the SOA if it is setup properly otherwise ditch it. Low with slider bars/plates will be so much more stable and make the car more capable as you won't be half as worried about falling over..

SO.... Have you driven the new motor yet? How does it go? Did you hook up the check engine light?

I think as a side note there is some relevent discussion here, the days of old training that applied to cars even 10 years ago if fast becoming irrelevent and there is no training for a lot of newer more complex systems

thanks for pointing out that i did start that thread royce, and yes i even considered changing the title of it before i wrote the statement above, it was the way that people had responded to daves questions that annoyed me, so maybe i should of said " if you have nothing constructive to add then add nothing at all".

It runs fantastily great.... It does this funning starting thing though. about 75% of the time when I start it, it will run for about 5 seconds then die (giving it a little throttle makes it die sooner.) After it does that it cranks up first with ease and off I go.... It strange but not really a big problem.

Its like driving a different car. I got it with a motor that was on its way out so I never really got to feal what its like with a good running 1.3. In comparison to how it was I have well over double the power and I can actualy get over 80k an hour. Infact i actualy overtook a car on the highway... soooo proud hahahah

As far as the lift on it. I am going to downsize too 32 10.50s. I have a second set of rear springs from a 2" lift kit that I am going to put up the front loose the front shackle extend the frame. replace the rear shackle with a role down shackles. Install some front shock hoops, Invert rear shocks. With the new springs I am going to move the front axil atleast 60mm, more if I can. If after all that I still need it I will do a BL. Oh I forgot to add I have taken out the lower leef in my rears on the car and will do the same with the ones i put up front.
