first of all im after a tow bar if anyone knows of one laying around
secondly whats a safe towing capacity on a sierra? i just picked up a 14 ft tinny and was wondering if my zook can pull it

whats it weigh? sierras are allowed 500kg

Hey mate.... Unsure on what the rated capacity is but it should tow the tinny nicely.. I have towed a 14ft fibreglass boat easily

yeah i have no doubts the zook can do the job more so interested in he legalities incase i have a crash andim not covered due to being in excess of weight

I don't think a 14' tinny and trailer will exceed 500kg.
Not unless you fill the tinny up with loads of camping gear etc, for a camping trip.
You could always ask if you could use the weigh bridge at your local tip or truck depot to get and accurate weight of the boat & trailer.

yeah cheers for the vote of confidence, i definetley know the zook will do the job but im just worried about the rod natzi's inging me for being over weighted, just hoping she can pull the tinny on the beach as i got some good spots to go spearing this summer

i think i read it was 450kg unbraked and 500kg braked i read in a 4x4monthly some time i think thats right not sure dont quote me but its around that ill check when i go home and verify
