I've done the upgrade but I can't hook the air con up as it's not a multi-rib pulley. Can I upgrade the pulley (clutch pulley) or will I need another compressor? (swift?)

To do the alternator upgrade, the water pump and crank pulleys had to be swapped for the swifts multi ribbed pulleys. The air con pulley isn't multi ribbed so it can't be hooked up to the crank pulley. So pretty much, I either need to replace the air con pulley or replace the entire compressor...

(I'm presuming replacing the clutch pulley will be a pain in the arse?)

so you have 2 multirib pulleys on your crank now?

assuming you have aftermarket aircon with a sanden compressor its probably not a lot of effort to get a new pulley fitted to it

If you run a Vit W/Pump pulley, you don't need to change the water pump.

I've asked Lowrange Offroad if they'd do a custom version of their 1.6 pulleys (5 bolt crank) in a 1.3 style (4 bolt crank) specifically for a Falcon Alt conversion, and also with a 4 bolt crank with 2 multi rib pulleys for On-board Air type air compressors.

They are going to get back to me. Any interest in a Group Buy if they say YES?

i used the pulley and clutch of a swift aircon compressor, bolted straight on
with no problems. at least i think it was a swift cos i found it in a creek.

I'd be keen.

Just confirming that the above pulley will replace the crank pulley and has two pulleys built in, the innermost one multi ribbed (for alternator, water pump) and the outermost one vee-style (for air con, air compressors etc)

So the clutch pulley isn't a PITA to swap over then? If it's a stright bolt-off, bolt-on job then i'll swing past the wreckers.

the crank pulley i found was a multi rib twin belt pulley and i also used the swift aircon clutch. i got
the alt pulley from a sparkie to match the rest of the pulleys but only as i couldn't remove the swift pulley without busting it. there are photos here somewhere of the setup.

probably need a rattle gun to get the aircon pulley off as it is hard to hold.
