Hi,
I have recently put a 1.6L MPFI Vitara motor into my sierra (standard suspension), and realised the diff is way too close to the sump. The bloke who sold me the motor said something about already changing the sump, but looks like it is the original vitara sump.
I have read that moving the diff forward will fix this problem, but can't find any details about how to actually do this.
Can anyone provide a link to another thread or a quick run down on how to do this and how hard it is? I really dont want to have to pull the engine out again to change the sump/pickup.

change the sump and pickup not the diff, your engine needs to be fitted with a sierra sump and pickup to give you the clearance you need between the sump and diff, there is some modding needed to fit the sierra sump to the G16 vitara engine

id imagine you could use standard sierra rear springs on the front , should move the wheel further forward but youll probably need longer shackles & new shock mounts. As for driveline spacers- i have some for $50 each if you need em but they are only 3/4"
