hey got sum spoties for xmas. how do u wire it in to the hi beam i could figure out how do do it .... plz help

That shows you how to rewire the whole lot (headlights, Hi beam and all) with new relays and the works.

If you just wanna add spotties, this is more or less what I did (excuse dodgy quick MSpaint job)

Yep, slightly different setup but works in virtually the same way as mine does... the Ground pin on the headlight is permanent 12V.... looks a bit neater than mine too ;)

Your diagram is still pretty useul though Royce, for anyone who wants to upgrade the shitty stock headlight wiring....

Yeah after an hour of cursing and swearing :evil: and ending up with odd bits of various length wire, i finally figured out, with the help of a volt meter, that the headlights are Negative switching, and they have constant 12volts to them ! :wink: :? :roll:

FYI, if you are gonna do it yourself, make sure the power from the battery is fused, very important, and make the wires, at the very minimum, 15amp, 20 or 25 would be better, spotties use alot of amps, my standard 40amp alternator sure feels the drain at low rev's :lol: :wink:

I know there have been a stack of different wiring diagrams put up but this is about the simplest Ive seen, and as long as the relay is switched via the 2 headlight cables it will work on either negative or positive switched vehicles.
You can also build an adapter for the headlight loom for about $5.
