Why do you need a lock and key?

A normal locksmith can find the key pattern and cut you some new keys.

They will also fix the barrel if its stuffed..

I took my old 77'corolla keybarrel to a locksmith. As good as new now!

the lock barrel played up making it near impossible to get the key out, the wife kept moaning so i "fixed" it by cutting it off with the angle grinder so i could take out the steering lock so as to be shure it wouldnt come on by itself and maybe kill my family, i left the plastic stub on so you could turn it on and off with a screwdriver, just like a scanky car thief, this worked well untill i whent for rego, the nice man informed me i needed one for it to pass. i would take it to a locksmith but unfortunately most of it turned to dust during the "repair" process and anyhow i think it is a lot cheaper just to swap for a secondhand lock. im not a car thief and if i was i wouldnt muck about with twenty year old vitaras or admit to it on here.
