I have tacked in the 1.3 mounts. And the measurements for the 1.3 swb w/t are different to where my engine sits i my n/t lwb by about 25mm but the gear box is bolted up, is there a differnce between the chassis?
secondly i didnt take much notice when removing the engine and i cant remember if the engine leans toward the passenger side is this right
sorry about them being sideways if you need more let me know

that means it needs to be tilted the drivers side why would it lean over if the mounts are sitting on the chassis almost perfectly

when i changed chassis mounts on my maruti, i just bolted the 1.3 mounts to the motor and sat it in position with the box bolted in then tacked them up, removed the motor and box and then fully welded them.
this way you can tweek the mounts a little to get it where you want
i did measure a 1.3 wt swb chassis for referance but they have a differant lenght jack shaft(to the maruti) and sit back about 20 to 25mm.my 1.6 sits pretty close to the fire wall (about 10mm at closest point) compared to my mates 1.6 (about 30mm at closest) in a swb
also my gear stick fouled on the bottom of the hole for it to come through but only just. with the rubber boot bolted down it would pop out of 2nd and 4th. i cut 5mm out of the boot surrond steel bit at the bottom and its good now, also i mounted the 1ltr radiator on the front of the 1ltr rad mounts hope some of this is a help
cheers wayne

My engine is sitting approx 25mm further back than in my swb that's on the mounts I'm doing it the same way you explained so this all makes sence Now thanks for that mate appreciate it.
So just to clarify the maruti which mine is the gbox mounts sits approx 25mm further back than a stock Sierra and runs a shorter Jack shaft?
