hey guys
got a jimny and went to try and fit some diff breathers last night. there is a cap over the breather. I was wondering how i do this, like do i have to pop that cap off, does it come off? do i have to get the hose over it and seal it somehow? i thank you in advance for the advice. i can provide pictures, but im sure you all know what i mean :)

Yeah pop the cap off. A small spring will also come out with it.
I used a long handled screw driver and bumped it off from underneath with a hammer.

x2 on flat head screw driver will come straight off then you just slide the hose over with a clamp over the nipple and happy days

with the cap, if you spin it around you will see a lil inprint of a dot, stick your flat head screw driver under it and then pop, it works better that way

There should be 2 of them on the one cap jjust spin it around

thanks guys...

i initially bought a "diff breather kit" from this 4x4 shop which was very thin, like the stuff you use for your garden dripper system. so i went today and bought some good garden hose and those oil breathers from supercheap. should go on soon!
