what's the pro's and con's?

I want a bit more lift. Are shackles a good option?

if you have longer springs they can be a good thing.
extended shackles stopped this happening to my car.

Unless you have longer springs they suck. They will make the ride harsher.

cons
wrong castor angles
loose vague steering
not legal
harsh ride on stock springs
how many more would you like

pro if you would call it that
a small cheap lift

Not to mention you will probably chew trhough spring bushes which makes the steering even more scary.
