hey guys just wondering i finaly test drove my car around the block today after changing the speedo cable, clutch cable and the bushes in tcase and gbox. every thing worked then the speedo stopped working i got back pulled the cable from the transfer and the little tooth thats inside the transfer hasd snapped off whilst driving and came out with the cable. so im wondering if that replaceable or am i going to need a new transfer. i need the speedo so i can run the km's up so if i sell it in a long time they can have a speedo reading. and of course i like to see what speed im doing.

Yes it is replaceable.

Jas will have one I'm sure, if not I think I have one lying around that I got from Jas then didn't use.

Oh, and you'd have to be fucking crazy to change out a whole transfer just to have a working speedo...

Sounds like bad reasons for needing a Speedo!

What t/case are you talking about? Sierra gear driven or Coily?
These are the part no.s for the gear driven case speedo gear.

If the driven gear (No 42) has broken in two, you will need to crack open the case to remove the broken bit, but it is not necessary to fit the new one. Just undo the locating bolt, pull out the "Case No 43" with a pair of vice grips and install the new gear.

Why do you want the km's? More km's on the speedo is not a good thing in any way!

As for speed, 95% of modern mobile phones come with GPS.... That'll be more accurate than your speedo too!
