I just quoted $450 for a complete steel GV front diff? I already have the 5.12 R&P to go into it but the $450 bites

already have the housing just chasing down the centre. 250-350 is what i expect to pay for the centre alone

when talking "centre" are you reffering to the pinion carrier?
i bought a new one for $120, still in the original box/wrapping.
EDIT: you will only need the carrier if you're fitting it to a vitara as you will need to swap the 5.12:1 diff ratio into the steel carrier, you could recoup some $$$$'s by selling the 4.6 or 4.8 diff gears that come with the GV carrier.

Yep just need the bit the r&p goes into. 5.12's are already done just have to be swapped over.

Just checking that a '99 GV Steel diff will fit my '97 Vit, Both are 26 spline and I've got the 5.12 R&P ready to go, so I just have to have the 5.12s swapped into it right ???
4X4ish there is one at SuziFour Wreckers at the moment, they wanted $550 complete, not sure if they will part it out for you.
