yea good luck even turning 31s on a g13bb in a jimny without investing in transfer gears..

I would regularly use 4th (sometimes 3rd) on highways on 235s, with a m13a jimny which have a fair bit more go, you will go through clutches pretty quick.

6.5 is going to be WAYYYYY too low for 29's... you'd want at LEAST 31s for 6.5s...

the ratio in high range changes the same weather its 6.5-1 on 4.9-1. so well see

put the 80mm tough dog lift in, and a 2 inch body lift. did a minor guard chop and still have the factory flares.
went for a thrash up at a palce called two rocks near perth. standard transfer case and all. the g16b handled the 31s well. went every where we tried.
on the road the the ratio is fine because of the extra tourqe. plus its doing over 1000rpm less now at 110kmh.

i just did an 80mm suspension lift with a 3" body and the 31's still scrub with cut gaurds.... only the front rear panel scrubs tho. the rear is fine and we chopped up his original bar making way for his custom tube bar. also a mate has another jimny with a 40mm lift running 235/75R15's and its scrubs all the time.

i agree........stock up on many important parts!




and i know because i had a jimny.......with a 1.6......stock gearing......and 31's...........was rubbish. but we do have 'real' wheeling over here.

the gearing may not be the best for steep climbs and deep ruts, i agree with you there. but in the and on the road its fine. illchange it when i need to
