People were not trying to discourage him from building what he wanted they were just highlighting some issues that would be apparent due to the tire size selected and the fact that he did not initially indicate that the gearing would be addressed...

And i know for a fact it will be poorly geared for off road use and any sniff of a hill or headwind and 5th gear is no good, first gear is more like second...Its all good and well to look fully sick but drive ability does suffer.

I'm glad he has a jimny that gives him a fatty but it will need alot more work to be a capable and reliable machine...

yes it will probly need gearing.
but for some reason with the bigger motor it drives well with the 31s on road and in the sand. and if i have to drop back from 5th to 4th its not a problem cause i had to with the little motor.
but we will see how it goes.
with the 31s a rear locker and bit more power it goes well in the sand

awsome stuff.. ill shoot you an email tonight. yer my mate has the 1.3 EFI motor in his and it is fine everywhere aye... it actually drives better with the lift and bigger tyres (got me fucked why)... he could only do 120 max speed along the flat and can now do over 130... as for slow stuff. we have majority of mud that we do, rock crawling isnt our thing really. so different areas need different applications.

much the same hey, love the sand and mud runs, rock crawling ill do if i have to but its not my preffered thing

Yeh man my mate Zookzilla96 did my lift 80mm suspension and 3" body and its sick.
Goes everywhere where i have put it i love it.
still have a tiny issue with scrub guards with 31s when fully flexed up but other than it sweet

yea we had to do a bit ok cutting, with just the 2 inch body lift.
but now its fine.
fitting a winch and dual batterys to it this weekend so may have to get some small coil spacers to lift it up again. we will see
