Mate whats up with yours? I do remember chasing a post of yours to solve some issues. I just rebuilt a 1.6 carb and finally got it running well. Eventually got the vacuume lines sorted.

I still have a flat spot at about 1300 rpm - I think the accelerator pump is the culpret.....

Accelerator pump has an adjustable pushrod on it. Lengthen it to get more throw (more fuel) if needed.

It has a squashed nut thing and can't be adjusted.. I have tried playing with it and there is a bit of fuel squirting into the carby but it's not vaporising.. not sure if it has to ???...

Its more of a squirt. Usually aimed at the opening edge of the butterfly. The local high vacuume there tends to atomise the fuel stream. Squashed nut or just damaged? The lever that contacts the nut could also be bent causing less actuation.
