where do you suggest i get my sierra engineer approved? or would i even have to?
i have an 86 SWB sierra hi-top but i choped the hi-top off as im changing it to a softop - i bought the B-pillar that goes across between the doors above the 2 front seats, just like the softops i just gota weld up the seems where i cut the roof off.
do i have to get it engineer approved or will it be fine? im trying to get it to look as close as possible to a factory softop as possible. im doing a full re-spray afterwards so it'll look pretty neat.
but if i do have to get a mod plate for it where should i go?
im in the brisbane area (mt gravatt)
thanks islandvit

you would probably have to get a panelvan to ute modplate or convertable modplate, though soft top and hard top bodies are very different so you might struggle
hmmm... doesnt seem that difficult. but when i do need to get the plate when the vehicle is ready, where do i go? department of transport or to somebody who does mod plates? i dont know were to go.

dept of transport will give you a list of people near you that can do the plate, then you just have to find 1 first that agrees with what you are doing
better to try and get some tips 1st rather than jsut turning up with it and hoping
