Punched the shock out the top of the front passenger side suspension tower on the coily.... :roll:

.......... Honest i was just driving normally .... :oops:

.... Which is the best fix, weld a washer.... What's the strongest fix. :?:

The metals pretty thin there !!

weld on a thick washer. (5mm) Works every time :wink:

Cheers , That's the offending piece, pity the link didn't tell you just how they fixed it, but thanks for the link
Plating and redrilling might be the go as the top of the tower seems worn and stress cracked

I was teasing a turbo diesel Patrol with locked diffs and now panel damage :twisted:

Basically I have no lockers Jonno so crawler speed is 20kph :windowface:

But whats harder than doing the weld, is cleaning the surface up enough to get the weld to stick

you could cut a bigger hole in the guard then just tack a new sheet over it when done

Well that's all fixed with a nice fat 4mm washer welded in from both faces
Ready to go and stuff something else now

Nah I'm going for some coil spacers probably the 30mm so I'll wait till then and put the big Ho's on... need new tread
