You can fit 33's with no lift if you are happy to do some panel work. no i dont want to chop, makes my car look cheap A virtual lift done properly doesn't look cheap at all... low centre of gravity with chopped guards and big tyres is the new cool...
well looking at jr-zooks build up,
the v lift is pretty good, i didnt know you can go on the indside and do it i thought you chop away from the front bar on wards so its visible to the eye
but that looks sweet, but ive already got the kit in, its sitting in my room so cant do anything about that lol so some one said flat springs or standard springs same shit
Who knows i might put 33" on it later

i bought car with spoa, 31' tyres and through the few years i own it i lowerd it down as much as i could. if i had standard car i wouldn't do spoa but chop chop , virtual lift. jst my 2c. i don't want to gobigger than 31' tyres so to make car more stable with spoa i have big offset rims (-50mm), i bet wheel bearings don't like it, i do however:)

IN2DEEP:
If you MUST go SPOA, then use the flatest springs you can find. Fit thw widest offset wheels you can get and think about running currie or anti-rock swaybars. Thats probably the most stable combo for an SPOA rig you can hope for.
EDIT: do you have the weld in SPOA or bolt in?

Chris ur car was so scary to watch when u got it, way to high .don't forget a good rap bar as well or u will kill ur rear springs
From all the sierras I've seen with spoa I recon the sway bar would be a great idea

i can tell you me having no experience in 4wd back than it was bloody scary to drive, so bl was first thing i removed. than it was a long way to find optimum spring setup.
i bend 2 sets of rear springs and bought bolt on track bar from low range, i wish i could weld good enough , anyway, track bar works a treat now.
i wouldn't mind to put a sway bar to see if it makes any difference on the road, but how to make it easy to disconect for off road??

Now im confused ??
ooooo.....nasty spoa kit!..............
if you want to run just 31's do not run a spoa.
nothing wrong with a good spoa, but most people and most kits do a pretty piss poor atempt at it.

be carefull with the ots high steer. some engineers in vic will not allow it to bolt to the brakes. you are engineering it yes?

the OTS one doesnt look engineerable to me... mine picks up the king pin bolts as well as the caliper and the original steering arm - it also had to be manufactured from a specific steel and contain ZERO welds.
when brian at suzistore made mine he also made a 2nd one at the same time, which is also on his store: http://www.suzistore.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=1363
not cheap though! haha

I'm with you Joe. My spoa uses a mix of standard springs. Works great.

So keep the standard springs then, sweet so all i need is a few more parts to complete the conversion and then ill be set,
I know most of you guys say lift is no good, but i see alot of sierras that look high, so this is my first 4wd so ive always wanted a big tuff looking 4b
Let me see how it gos and let me learn for myself ive listened to all of yous and ive taken it all in, so ill know what im looking for when i take her out, but i think its not a bad setup, but only time will tell
I do know i need more lift then standard ive been stuck that many times on my chassi cause ive got no clearance lol
But like i said before, the kit is brought so theres no going back now, so hope it gos well
Oh and i can only get a -13 offset is that ok or not enough ??

squishy, sagged, flat leaves are where its at! =) Once you've got that sorted you'll then need some nice stiff shocks to keep it handling nicely on the road too.

15x8 with -28 offset, or 15x7 with approx -17 offset are at least what you want.

procomp rims are very hard to get right now (in my experience) - i ordered 4 rims in september ad they STILL havent arrived... the factory in the USA cant seem to keep up supply, and im pretty sure the AU importers arent stomping their feet enough and allowing the USA to give AU stuff lower priority.

I had the same problem with Pro Comp rims, they said it would be months before i recieved them. I ended up getting some Kings 15x8 in black from Tyre Torque in Croydon, the blokes name is Pete from what i remember, think they were about $80 each or something.
They have a nice offset and look the goods. Hope that helps and good luck.

Ha i knew you were the same guy who posted up a thread in the past wanting to make a poser-mobile . Yea I may look cool but have you checked out your state's regulations in regards to these modifications? It will not look that tuff with a big defect sticker and a fine on it or even worse insurance not covering you because of an illegally modified vehicle but im sure you have already looked in to it.
What sort of terrain do you drive btw? What mods does your vehicle currently have?
In regards to the rim width, wider isnt necessarily better. You are after offset on the rims.

I think your possibly after the wrong thing if you want a big tough Sierra,
They arent big, you will get laughed at, no one apart from zook drivers will ever admit that its cool.
I recently entered my LJ50 into a competition against some bundera's a land cruiser and a hilux. I started the key and every body laughed. blue smoke belching out the back, and slow as hell it crawled up the first hill climb. Peoples heads turned from the other comp tracks going on and more people laughed.
my point is that owning a zook isnt about looking good, tough, its about luving the zook for what it is
I came out with a first place on that track just FYI

you drive a mini because you are secretly queer but still like fast cars and have a opps the kenworth parked on me death wish.
or you enjoy the challenge of trying to make every thing electrical operational at the same time and are secretly queer and use the fast little car excuse to hide it
